A slow paced Sunday.

The clubhouse is a five minute walk from our place, and we decided to go there for breakfast this morning. Alessandra and Anthony rode their Striders, of course. We were expecting to have a pancake breakfast, but they were crepes instead. Pretty good crepes, but nothing great. The kids loved them, and I guess that's all that matters. The coffee was just plain bad; we need to turn this place on to Illy, or Lavazza, even Starbucks or something. The orange juice was fresh squeezed and very good, and our omelettes were pretty tasty, but small.

With all that said about the food, the surroundings were tough to beat. The kids were running wild on the fringes of the golf course, which allowed us to just sit and relax as we sipped on our bad coffee enjoying the fresh air and views of the surrounding mountains. We stayed there for about an hour before Alessandra started focussing on what I'd promised her the day before: a trip to the sand dunes at the end of the property to play in the sand.

We returned quickly back to the house, and then I loaded A & A into the car and took them to the dunes. It was already getting hot by the time we arrived so the planned 30-45 minute outing was perfect. Upon returning to the house we ran across a few girls that Alessandra met at the pool the day before who were driving golf carts around the polo field. It was great, there were two cars parked on the side of the field (ours and the parents of the girls), and the girls out on the polo field going a bit loco in the golf carts: needless to say that Alessandra and Anthony were eager to join in on the fun, and that they had a blast. I joined the parents of the girls in their air conditioned truck for a nice chat as the kids ripped around on the field. The girls brought the kids back to the house in the carts, and they said their goodbyes. Hopefully we'll see them again next weekend, or when we make the trip up to Salta.

Erika then fed the kids a quick lunch before putting them down for their naps, and I ran into town for a light lunch and glass of wine with one of the founders of this development. We finished off the day with our usual swim between 5:00 and 6:00, and then a nice dinner outside under our veranda while watching the lightning storms above the distant mountains.

Just chillin' above the clubhouse restaurant as momma finished her breakfast.

VIP parking at the clubhouse.
